You don’t need to eat the frog — it’s enough to kiss it

Remember that old fairytale?
A princess had to kiss an ugly frog — and the frog turned into a prince.

Not exactly tempting, right? Who would willingly kiss a frog?

What about eating a frog?

But that’s exactly what Brian Tracy talks about in his book Eat That Frog!

The “frog” is a metaphor for your most important and often most unpleasant task of the day — the one you keep putting off, but that actually deserves your full attention.
His advice: start your day by “eating the frog.” Once you’ve done the hardest thing, the rest of the day flows much more easily.

It’s a valid principle.
But the problem is — sometimes the frog looks so unpleasant that we don’t even want to begin.

Still, I truly believe the idea works. And one evening, while preparing a time management training, I had a moment of clarity:

You don’t need to eat the frog.
It’s enough to kiss it.

In other words — just start.
You don’t need to do it all at once. Take one small step.

And often, you’ll find that the task isn’t nearly as bad as it seemed. You’ll get a sense of progress and energy from doing what truly matters — and suddenly, moving forward feels easy and even enjoyable.

That’s where the magic is.
The frog might just turn into a prince.

So next time you find yourself procrastinating or waiting for the “perfect moment”:Don’t wait. Take the first step.
Kiss the frog.
You might be surprised what it turns into.
